On 6 September 2025, Level-1 and Level-2 students of the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, MIST, visited Dockyard and Engineering Works Limited, Bangladesh for an industrial learning experience. Accompanied by faculty members, the students observed practical shipbuilding processes, welding techniques, and various parts of ships, gaining hands-on insights that complemented their classroom studies. The visit provided an invaluable opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world marine engineering practices, enhancing their understanding of ship construction and engineering operations. The visit encouraged interactive learning as students asked questions and discussed technical aspects with experienced engineers, making it a highly enriching experience that bridged theory and practice in marine engineering.
