Conferences and Seminars
Department of EECE has always been in a remarkable position for research work. With over 100 conference papers and more than 40 publication in internationally well reputed journals, our students and faculty members are always putting a lot of efforts in the ECE research arena. Again the experience gained from industrial training at over 12 reputed companies, UG students also contribute in futuristic research works during their stay at MIST. The department hosts relevant conferences and seminars with the most recent being the seminar on “OBE system”. A seminar entitled “Preparation for Accreditation of Outcome-Based Engineering Programs” was successfully organized by dept. of EECE, MIST on 7th February, 2018. The guest speaker Professor Muhammed A Satter, PhD, MBA delivered his speech which mainly covered the criteria of ABET, the relationship between Outcome-Based Education & Outcome-Based Accreditation, Course Assessment Vs Program Assessment, Program Vs Institutional Accreditation and benefits of program-level accreditation, etc. The seminar was attended by the Dean of faculty of ECE, Head of the dept. of EECE, and 45 faculty members from AE, NAME, CE, CSE, IPE & EECE dept. The dept. also got the honor to host 6th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (ICEEICT 2024) aimed to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, scholars to exchange and share their experiences, research results about all aspects of Electrical Engineering, ICT and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted. It was held in 02-4th May 2024 at MIST premises.

09. The IEEE MIST Student Branch organized a seminar on "Planning and Standardization Design of Electrical Substations" on 02 October 2023, featuring a talk by Al Amin Hossain, Business Development Manager, Export (Technical), and Deputy Manager at Reverie Power and Automation Engineering Limited. The seminar gave insights about the fundamental aspects of electrical substations, covering topics such as planning, site selection, design principles, and industry standards.
10. 25 June 2024 Launching GNSS Ionospheric Observatory: New Horizon Of Collaborative Space Research In Bangladesh. The GNSS Observatory System was commendably inaugurated by Respected Commandant Maj Gen Mohammed Saidul Islam, rcds, ndc, psc, on 26 June, 2024 in the Analog and Digital Communication Laboratory of EECE Dept in MIST (9th Floor, Tower-3). Dr Emanuelle Pica and Dr Massimo Viola from the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), Italy have given a short brief on the observatory system.
